Love is a four letter word whispered in my ear
through whiskey soaked breath.
When you are eighteen it is hard to learn
what love is.
I had my shirt buttoned to my throat,
my hands held out to deflect the thrust of your hips.
It is much easier to learn
what love is not.
You taught me a new four letter word.
