Imagoes: A Queer Anthology Blurb

Imagoes will make you understand. The poetry collected in this anthology is curated to give you a variety of experiences that force you to relate to these writers. From agrarian life on a river to city living, life styles from all over the spectrum are finally given room to breathe here.
This anthology is important. It is a place where queer and LGBT+ writers can come together without sharing the lime light with more cannon and mainstream writers. This is the outlet that so many people need.
Reading this book as a lesbian is healing and restorative. It makes me feel at home with who I am knowing that there are other people who are like me. Imagoes has done a lot to change how I think about other LGBT and queer writers. We are serious and we write the work that needs to be done that straight people cannot write. It is visceral on a very intimate level.
I knew that I needed to keep the game going. So please, enjoy even more poetry by Jamal Jones and Stewart Shaw, both writers who can be found in Imagoes: A Queer Anthology.
